The employee performs the following functions:
- Participates and provides suggestions in formulating the information technology security policy of the Chief Archivist of Lithuania's office.
- Performs the functions of an information systems security officer as established by legal acts.
- Prepares draft legal acts regulating information systems and cyber security and implements them.
- Ensures compliance with legal acts regulating information systems and cyber security.
- Establishes security requirements for information systems controlled by the office of the Chief Archivist of Lithuania and ensures these requirements are implemented.
- Organizes risk assessment for information systems and cyber security, oversees the preparation and implementation of remediation plans.
- Prepares a program for improving information systems and cyber security, coordinates and monitors its implementation.
- Coordinates the investigation of electronic information and cyber security incidents in information systems and collaborates with competent state institutions investigating electronic communication networks, information security incidents, and illegal activities related to electronic information security incidents.
- Organizes risk assessments for information systems, including extraordinary assessments when necessary.
- Examines laws, standards, and methodologies regulating information systems and cyber security, security management processes, IT management, and provides suggestions to the department head for improving security and enhancing IT management maturity.
- Examines the possibilities of information technology and makes suggestions for their use in ensuring the information security of the Chief Archivist of Lithuania.
- Performs other functions related to information security as established by legal acts.
The employee must meet the following special requirements:
- Have a university degree or equivalent in the field of physical sciences, specifically in mathematics, physics, or computer science.
- Be familiar with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, and other legal acts and standards regulating the application of information technology, the creation of information systems, security management, and information security.
- Have at least one year of work experience in the field of electronic information security (cybersecurity) and be knowledgeable about the principles of ensuring electronic information security.
- Be familiar with general document preparation, formalization, and legal act project preparation requirements.
- Be able to clearly and fluently express and present thoughts verbally and in writing in the state language, choose an appropriate communication style, means, and environment, considering the characteristics of the situation or interlocutors and the communication goal.
- Be able to independently collect, evaluate, systematize, analyze, and summarize information, processes, or data, be able to distinguish essential information and make decisions based on it, be able to prepare detailed, reasoned, and accurate reports or other necessary documents.
- Be able to independently plan and organize one's work activities, work in a team, and organize one's activities, focusing on the execution of priority tasks.
