Functions of the employee in this position:
- Participates in coordinating the management of state information resources managed by the Office of the Chief Archivist of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as OCAL) and state archives.
- Designs and implements data models and algorithms aimed at creating a digital preservation ecosystem for data stored in state archives.
- Participates in the development of data storage infrastructure.
- Collaborates with state archives, other institutions, and contractors to ensure efficient data usage and decision-making that meets user needs.
- Creates and maintains data processing components and pipelines for data collection, processing, and analysis.
- Analyzes various types of datasets stored in state archives to ensure their quality and accessibility.
- Analyzes existing technical solutions and development needs of the information systems, digital collections, and/or portals managed by OCAL and state archives.
- Provides information to the administrators of the Electronic Archive Information System (hereinafter referred to as EAIS), managed by OCAL, regarding existing and newly implemented technical solutions.
- Provides information on technical requirements for the transfer of digitally-born documents, state registers, sectoral registers, and state information systems data to state archives.
- Carries out other ad-hoc tasks related to the functions of OCAL, as assigned by the Chief Archivist of Lithuania and/or the Chief Advisor, to achieve OCAL’s strategic goals.
Special Requirements:
Educational and Professional Experience Requirements:
- Must hold a higher education degree (Bachelor's qualification) or an equivalent recognized by a competent authority.
- Must have work experience in the field of data engineering.
- Length of work experience: at least 2 years.
Foreign Language Proficiency Requirements:
- Language – English.
- Proficiency level – B2.
