The civil servant performs the following functions:
- Represents the institution in relations with other institutions, organizations, and individuals as directed by the head of the institution.
- Provides consultation on issues related to the activities of the structural unit.
- Makes decisions related to the activities of the structural unit.
- Prepares and submits proposals on issues related to the activities of the structural unit.
- Supervises the processing of relevant information for the execution of the activities of the structural unit or processes information related to the activities of the structural unit when necessary.
- Supervises the execution of activities of the structural unit or performs activities of the structural unit when necessary.
- Supervises the preparation and submission of information related to the activities of the structural unit or prepares and submits information related to the activities of the structural unit when necessary.
- Supervises the preparation of documents related to the activities of the structural unit or prepares documents related to the activities of the structural unit when necessary.
- Manages the human resources of the structural unit in accordance with the legislation.
- Controls the administration of the National Document Fund as directed by the Chief Archivist of Lithuania.
- Controls the compliance with the requirements of legislation regarding the management, accounting, storage, use, and access to documents by state archives, as directed by the Chief Archivist of Lithuania.
- Participates in ensuring the implementation of EU legislation in the field of document and archive management in Lithuania according to competence.
- Represents LVAT at meetings of EU institutions and other meetings where issues related to document and archive management are discussed, according to competence.
- Acts as a substitute for the Chief Archivist of Lithuania in his absence.
- Participates in the preparation of LVAT's strategic and annual activity plans within the competence of the department.
- Performs other non-permanent tasks related to the activities of the structural unit.
Special Requirements:
- Education and work experience requirements:
- Education: Higher university education (not lower than a bachelor's qualification degree) or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Field of study: History
OR
- Education: Higher university education (not lower than a bachelor's qualification degree) or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Field of study: Communication
OR
- Education: Higher university education (not lower than a bachelor's qualification degree) or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Work experience: Experience in the field of document management.
- Duration of work experience: Not less than 5 years.
- Foreign language proficiency requirements:
- Language: English
- Language proficiency level: B1.
