The civil servant performs the following functions:
- Processes information related to the implementation of decisions or coordinates the processing of information related to the implementation of decisions when necessary.
- Provides consultation on assigned area of expertise.
- Examines requests and other documents on complex issues related to the execution of decision implementation activities, prepares decisions and responses, or coordinates the examination of requests and other documents on complex issues related to the execution of decision implementation activities, or coordinates the preparation of decisions and responses when necessary.
- Organizes the process of implementing decisions or coordinates the organization of the implementation process when necessary.
- Prepares and provides information on complex issues related to decision implementation or coordinates the preparation and provision of information related to complex issues of decision implementation when necessary.
- Prepares draft legal acts and other related documents regarding decision implementation or coordinates the preparation of draft legal acts and other related documents regarding decision implementation when necessary.
- Plans supervision and (or) control activities or coordinates the planning of supervision and (or) control activities when necessary.
- Supervises the execution of decisions, recommendations, and instructions related to supervision and (or) control activities or coordinates the supervision of the execution of decisions, recommendations, and instructions related to supervision and (or) control activities when necessary.
- Prepares and submits proposals on issues related to supervision and (or) control.
- Oversees the organization of the storage of national film original materials in accordance with the Law on Cinematography of the Republic of Lithuania.
- By order of the Chief Archivist of Lithuania, controls compliance with the requirements of legislation for the organization of document storage, management, and accounting of video and audio documents in state archives.
- Coordinates the accumulation and storage of Lithuanian film heritage (including the State Film Archive) within the competence of the State Archival Service.
- Coordinates and controls the implementation of measures for the preservation (restoration, microfilming, etc.) of documents in state archives.
- Collects and analyzes information on the practice of managing video and audio documents of Lithuania and foreign states, as well as the application of information systems for managing these documents.
- Acts as a substitute for the head of the department in their absence and substitutes for the employee responsible for classified information protection at the State Archival Service in their absence.
- Evaluates data on accounting documents submitted by state archives through the Electronic Archive Information System (EAIS) and provides comments or suggestions on them.
- Participates in maintaining contacts and collaborating with foreign state archive institutions and international organizations within their competence.
- Performs other non-permanent tasks related to the activities of the structural unit.
The civil servant must meet the following special requirements:
Education and work experience requirements:
- Education: Higher university education (not lower than a bachelor's qualification degree) or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Field of study: English.
Foreign language proficiency requirements:
- Language: English.
- Language proficiency level: B1.
